[Sorcha Cusack] [Michael Jayston] [Stephanie Beacham] [Geoffrey Whitehead] [Edward de Souza] [Megs Jenkins] [Anna Korwin]
.:Sorcha Cusack:. Jane Eyre

Sorcha Cusack was born on 9 April 1949 in Dalkey, Ireland. Her parents are actor Sir Cyril Cusack and actress Maureen Kiely. She has two sisters (Sinead and Niamh) and two brothers (Padraig and Paul). All of her siblings are in the entertainment business except for Paul, which made Sorcha at first reluctant to follow. "I really loved teaching. I think I tried to avoid acting as my older sister Sinead had started to act and I didn't wan't to be in contention with her. Eventually though I decided to really go for it and moved to London to see if I could make it in a bigger pond." She went to the University in Dublin and trained as a teacher, teaching Irish, English and Latin in middle and secondary schools. But while a student, she took on acting because she needed the money. She has been with her long term partner- Nigel Cook- for over twenty years, and has two children- Liam and Beth. And for a bit of trivia: her name is pronounced Sor-kah (courtesy of imdb.com)

He obtained a scholarship to the Guildhall School Music and Drama, and worked during the holidays at a Nottingham fish market. Michael Jayston made his professorial debut in 'The Amorous Prawn' at the age of 27, and also worked in the Salisbury Repertory (1962-63), Bristol Old Vic (1963-65), and then the Royal Shakespeare Company (1965, Associate Artist 1966-69). Born'Edward James de Souza' on 4 September 1932, Edward graduated from RADA and began his acting career in theatre before moving on to films and television series. He is probably most known for his role in the James Bond film 'The Spy Who Loved Me' as Sheikh Hoseim. His interests include watercolour painting and environmental activisim.
.:Megs Jenkins:. Mrs. Fairfax

.:Anna Korwin:. Sophie
Such a small role in the series, but she bears mention here because, though I don't know much of her personal life, she has what is now becoming the not-so-unusual distinction of playing the same character in two different adaptations. The first picture is from the 1973 series, and the second is from the 1970 version with Susannah York. Many thanks to Curtis M., who made this interesting discovery.
